Andrew Sosnowitz

FOUNDER & CEO

Andrew Sosnowitz is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Buttonwood Capital Management. With more than 25 years of investment and wealth management experience, he sets the firm's strategic direction and the investment philosophy that guides its approach to managing client wealth.

In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Andrew continues to work directly with some of the firm's most complex client relationships, bringing together investment strategy, financial planning, and tax and estate considerations within a coordinated wealth management framework. He also chairs the firm's Investment Policy Committee, helping guide investment research, portfolio construction, and implementation across the firm.

Prior to founding Buttonwood in 2009, Andrew spent more than a decade as an Assistant Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor in Merrill Lynch's Global Private Client Group. There, he advised clients across market cycles, evaluated traditional and alternative investment strategies, and worked with advanced estate planning techniques involving trusts and closely held entities.

Andrew earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona and completed post-baccalaureate studies at MIT's Sloan School of Management. He holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®), and Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC®) designations from the College for Financial Planning.

Active in the community, Andrew supports organizations including Chances 4 Children and continues to advocate for domestic and international adoption. A Florida native, he now calls the Valley of the Sun home and lives in Phoenix with his wife, Laura, and their sons, Blake and Caleb.
